Today I did the procedure - 1/17/15 . I observed my muffins using a kitchen scale to measure the weight (grams), and a metric ruler to measure the height (cm). I observed the texture of the muffins by sight and touch.
Average Weight (grams):
0 tsp of Baking Powder: 42.5 = 43 grams
1 tsp of Baking Powder: 40.8 = 41 grams
2 tsp of Baking Powder: 41.6 = 42 grams
4 tsp of Baking Powder: 46.6 = 47 grams
Average Height (cm):
0 tsp of Baking Powder: 2.7 = 3 cm.
1 tsp of Baking Powder: 4.16 = 4.2 cm.
2 tsp of Baking Powder: 5 cm.
4 tsp of Baking Powder: 3.3 = 3 cm.
Texture (by look and touch):
0 tsp baking powder - crispy, bumpy, and golden on the outside; dry on the inside
1 tsp baking powder - light, smooth, airy on the outside; Muffin sticks to paper; little bit dry on the inside
2 tsp baking powder - bumpy; muffin sticks to paper; moist on the inside
4 tsp baking powder - bumpy,; muffin really really stuck to paper; little bit moist on the inside
